Reiki has many qualities that make it an ideal complementary therapy for animals. First and foremost it is gentle, painless, non-invasive and stress free for animals. Reiki is always safe and comfortable for both animal and healer. It can be given at a distance if necessary and adapted to any problem that affects animals, so can be used under any circumstances.

With Reiki, animals do not have to be confined or restrained to be treated. The Reiki practitioner works with the animal to determine how the treatment will be given. The animal retains a large degree of control over his own process of healing, including how much Reiki he will take and under what circumstances, so that he becomes an active and willing partner in the healing process.

Reiki can help animals in many ways. With healthy animals, Reiki can help maintain health on all levels. It can heal physical illness, as well as emotional and spiritual levels. It is a powerful tool for emotional healing following trauma, abuse, neglect, fear and trust issues. For highly strung or nervous animals, Reiki induces deep relaxation and stress reduction. Over time it can reduce the tendency towards nervousness.

Reiki can accelerate healing after surgery or illness. It complements both conventional and alternative therapies and can enhance their actions and lessen their side effects. Finally for a dying animal, Reiki provides compassionate support that can make the transition more peaceful for all concerned.

I offer healing for animals on a one to one basis. I would normally travel to you as the animal feels more comfortable in his own surroundings.

If you would like more information or to book a treatment please email me.

Would you be interested in being initiated into Reiki so you help your pet on a daily basis? Please look in “courses” for more information.

Note: Healing work with animals works well alongside vetinary care. If your pet is unwell you must see a vet first.
